Please find below the message from the Traffic Regulation Order Team of South Essex Parking Partnership and the letter from National Highways about suspending the parking bays in Ingatestone High Street during the A12 closure on the weekend 5-8 April:
“The Limited Waiting bays in High Street, Ingatestone will be suspended from 6pm Friday 5th April until 6am Monday 8th April whilst works are being carried out on the A12. There will be a full road closure of the northbound carriageway between junctions 12, Brentwood and 15, Three Mile Hill/Webb’s Farm Interchange.
The SEPP are suspending the bays at the request of the contractor, Morgan Sindall, and Essex Highways and is part of the traffic management in the area. Although the High Street is not part of the official diversion route it can be expected that traffic volumes through the High Street will be higher than usual. Therefore, the Limited Waiting bays, from Pine Drive to The Bell Public House, will be suspended to prevent congestion throughout the High Street. Please note that the Limited Waiting Bay in the lay-by outside the Co-op will still be useable. The contractor has also collaborated with Ingatestone and Fryerning Community Association to provide free parking at the Ingatestone Community Centre car park, while the parking bays are suspended.
The contractor will cone off the bays and SEPP will put up the suspension notices and there will be extra patrols from SEPP Enforcement Officers over the weekend. The contractor will also write to the shops, businesses, and residents in the High Street (see attached letter).”
