This year, we have instigated a community garden within the grounds of St Mary and St Edmund Church. Aside from the Church, this initiative involves IFPC, the Anglo European School, the Royal Horticultural Society, the Youth Offending Team and another Borough Council, so is truly community led.
Last week, Cllr Winter and Louis Langenberg from the Royal Horticultural Society once again investigated the space for the future churchyard garden. Planters and soil have now been delivered, and we are finally ready for the next exciting step: on 13 December, two groups of students from the Anglo European school will head to the church to plant some bulbs and plants and help us turn this lovely green space into a beautiful community garden!
