This year, IFPC are making some changes to the Christmas decorations on the High Street. Instead of the small trees we have had in the past, we will be installing three large Christmas trees along the High Street. You’ll be able to find them:
– on the Market Place
– in front of St. Edmund and St. Mary’s Church Ingatestone
– by the Ingatestone Community Centre
Unfortunately, with the number of closed shops and recent refurbishments taking place along with cost of providing the small trees, the council has had to carefully consider the cost-effectiveness of the project. In the last issue of the magazine, we asked residents to share their thoughts and we thank all those who responded. The decision to move away from the traditional High Street display was not easy, but we are sure the new large trees will create an even more vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
This festive display has been made possible thanks to a generous grant from Brentwood Connected. We’d also like to thank all the local businesses and organisations involved in helping us bring Christmas to the High Street.
