HELPERS REQUIRED FOR CHRISTMAS HOUSE-TO-HOUSE & STATIC COLLECTIONS
CAN YOU HELP?
The Rotary Club are short of Santa’s helpers to accompany the Sleigh for their annual ‘House-to-House’ [H2H] Charity Collection and helpers for the static collections in the Market Place, at Ingatestone Christmas Market and at Sainsburys, Springfield.
ARE YOU SUITABLE?
You’ll need to be reasonably fit and able to walk for the H2H task. It will involve sparing us a few hours on one or two evenings to be one of Santa’s Elves!
For the static collections, it’s sparing an hour or two.
WHAT’S INVOLVED?
The H2H start out at 5:15 from Gallivant Travel at Market Place – where you will be duly robed as a Santa’s Snowman helper, joining a group of about 6 volunteers to cover the streets on that evening’s schedule. Normally you’d be finished by 8:30pm.
The House-to-House collection runs from Mon 9th Dec till Fri 13th Dec; it may run over to w/c 16th if bad weather dictates any prior weekday cancellation.
The static collections are on Saturday 7th or Sat 14th, Sun 8th & Sun 15th Dec.

The Rotary Club would then set a schedule for the week and advise you nearer the time which day(s) you have been allocated.
You may want to volunteer with a friend. That would be great – please share this information and let them know your joint availability.
