Local elections on 4 May are fast approaching – make sure you are registered to vote and aware of what steps need to be taken for your vote to reach its destination.
If you are voting at a polling station, don’t forget to bring photo ID. If you don’t have photo ID, apply for free voter ID here by 25 April.
Rules for voting by post haven’t changed – if you would rather vote this way, just apply for a postal vote by 18 April.
You can also apply for a proxy vote by 25 April.
