GENERAL ELECTION 2024
Polling stations are open until 10 PM – you can find your station on your polling card or use the election information tool.
DON’T FORGET TO TAKE YOUR PHOTO ID.

✅ Don’t worry if your ID is out of date. You can use out of date photo ID if it still looks like you and the name is the same as the one you used when you registered to vote.
❗ Lost your photo ID? You can apply for an emergency proxy until 5pm on polling day. Your proxy will need to take their own ID to cast your vote.
🤔 Applied for free voter ID? If you applied for free voter ID and it hasn’t arrived, get in touch with Brentwood Borough Council.
🙋 Acting as a proxy for someone? You’ll need to go to their polling station to cast their vote. You’ll also need to bring your own photo ID.
📣 Campaigning on polling day is allowed, as long as it’s not within the perimeter of a polling station building.
