The Parish Council received this letter, this morning from Network Rail:
“I am writing to you… to make you aware of a lorry holding facility that Network Rail will be using at Bushcade to facilitate upgrade works on the railway for the next 18 months.
The site (at the end of Roman Road, on the southbound slip onto the A12) will be used to check all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes for complance with required safety standards and then dispatched to the various station sites between Shenfield and Goodmayes. The site will oerate between the hours of 0900 – 1500 and 1800 – 0600. Night time deliveries will be kept to a minimum. At the peak of our works, there could be up to 50 lorries per day using the lorry holding facility though for the majority of the time, we expect this to be less.
While we do not expect any adverse impact from using the site and lorry routes, I would encourage you to contact me if you have any concerns about the information provided in this letter.
Please telephone our 24 hour National Helpline on 03457 114141 and for more information about the Crossrail Programme please visit www.crossrail.co.uk”
