Would you like to be involved in our summer events? Then get in touch!
The Council is appealing for stallholders, entertainers and sponsors to apply to take part in this year’s Strawberry Fair and Family Fun Days.
We want to hear from those who have what it takes to entertain thousands of children and families at our events and provide fun activities, arts and crafts or catering.
Our first event is the Strawberry Fair, which returns on June 11 with a royal twist ‘Strawberries and Queen’ as we celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday this year. We are looking for stalls and entertainment with a royal theme and performers who can sing songs ‘through the ages’ or that fit the Queen theme.
We have opportunities for those who want to get involved in our five Family Fun Days on Fridays throughout the Summer holidays. Brentwood Borough Council is also looking for sponsors for the events. Please visit www.brentwood.gov.uk/events for affordable sponsorship packages and up-to-date information about the events.
Brentwood Borough Council’s Chair of the Community and Health Committee, Councillor Will Russell, said: “We want your help to make our Strawberry Fair and Family Fun Days more memorable than ever, especially since it is a royal year.
They are always popular community events with lots for the family to see. They are also an opportunity for local businesses to come forward who want to run a stall, provide entertainment or activities or who would like to sponsor the events. Please get in touch if you want to be part of it.”
Applications are open for pitches at Strawberry Fair as well as attractions and activities at Family Fun Days. The deadline for stallholders and entertainers to apply for the Strawberry Fair is Sunday 1st May and for sponsors is 29 April. For more information about the events, please visit www.brentwood.gov.uk/events, email events@brentwood.gov.uk or call 01277 312500 and speak to the Community Service Team.
