The Anglo European School is proud to announce its Golden Anniversary!
Established in 1973, Anglo European has been committed to achieving the highest academic success through its distinct internationalist curriculum. The 50th anniversary celebration will be a testament to the Anglo’s rich history and the countless accomplishments of its students and alumni. The festivities are set to unfold with a series of events and activities throughout the year! Get ready to embark on a journey that reflects on the past, celebrates the present, and envisions an inspiring future.
These include:
Golden Eisteddfod: 50 years of Anglo – 26th and 27th March: Come and join AES for the annual literary and cultural international festival, featuring the very best of our talented singers, musicians, actors and poets. You will be taken on a journey through the past 50 years.
Legacy Project: A group of CAS students will be sourcing funding for, and then working on, an installation of a piece of celebratory artwork to be mounted in the playground on the Sports Hall wall. They will also be sourcing a buddy bench to be installed in the playground, to promote inclusion.
50th Celebration Event – 21st June from 4-8pm: AES will be inviting ex-students, ex-staff, ex-parents and anyone who has been part of the Anglo Family to join the school for a celebration evening.
Cricket Match – date TBC: What a better way of celebrating this special year than by an alumni v staff/Sixth Form cricket match?!
Student Celebration Day – Friday 5th July: a celebration day in school just for students, with special assemblies and a big picnic on the field.
